the new Tiger Cub single came out yesterday. if you didn't see my multiple facebook and twitter posts already, then snag it over at our bandcamp.

the new Tiger Cub single comes out tomorrow. i'm very excited about this. it's the first release we've had since April. it's being released digitally through our bandcamp for free. that's also exciting. i want everything to be free.

now it's time to start working on our next album. the tentative release date it April 2011.

Surf Siberian - Summer Roolz

Well, the Surf Siberian album is getting close to done. I was planning on having it out long before now, but things didn't go as smooth as I had hoped. My new goal is to have it out by the end of the month... I'll do my best to make that happen.

just stuff

I'm going to see Delorean tonight. that excites me. then Logan is coming up to hang out on Monday. that is also super rad.

i watched Donnie Darko today for the 5th or 6th time, but today i really watched it. i paused it whenever there was a sentence i needed to think about and hit rewind every time i missed a word. i'm writing a paper on it tomorrow which i think is pretty cool. that movie has a lot to offer.

Tiger Cub recorded some new songs. i finished mixing one and sent it to get mastered today. our first show in 6 months will be May 22nd at Molly Malones in Cincinnati, Ohio. i'm more than a little stoked for that.

There are a lot of things that come and go in my life, but this came in years ago and has never left. It's pretty comforting to think of how long it's been around and how it's still here... being played on my ipod right now.

Tiger Cub played its last show for 6 months this past weekend. it was strange. with each song we played i thought, "this is the last time i'll play this song for half a year." that thought blows my mind. but i'm stoked to go to LA and experience everything there. it will be an adventure, and i'm in need of a good adventure.

i've been up all night again. groovy.

what i'm up to

so this has been my life the last few days...

• Thursday - went and saw Neon Indian in Bloomington. he, along with the rest of his band, were really good. definitely a fun and dancy time.


• Friday (last night) - The twins and I played a midnight show in Anderson at a pancake house called The Flop (incredible place!!). It was most definitely one of the best shows we have ever played. well, we actually didn't play that well, but everyone was having a good time and a lot of our friends were there, so that ruled.


• Tonight - Tiger Cub is playing another show tonight at our friend Lindsey's house here in Upland. I can only hope it will be as fun as last night. After the show I'm going to head down to Muncie for a party at T-Rex. I love Halloween.


• Tomorrow - i don't want to think about it. so much homework.

along with that, a Tiger Cub EP is coming close to completion. hopefully it will be out in the next couple of weeks. it'll be free, so i'll throw a link up for you to download it when that happens.

i must say, i find myself increasingly in a good mood these days. which kind of blows my mind because i don't usually have good reason to be. i'm so far behind in school it's scary, the one girl i really care about i can never be with, and i'm really sick of living in this place... but somehow i'm feeling pretty good. i think it has a lot to do with the fact that i've been working to start talking to God again. At the beginning of the semester it was to that point where i didn't even feel like i could open up to Him. i'm sure you know the feeling, it sucks for sure, but now i'm getting back to the point where i can have a conversation with Him. i'm so glad He's always there for me and will take me back at any time no matter how undeserving i am. i don't know what i would do without that love.
